In true Steve Irwin style I went adventuring in search of the mighty bald eagle. I found one of the magnificent creatures and one of her chicks on an island on Great Slave Lake.
What should I search for next.

While at Social Media Camp Victoria and this past week I have seen a number of people start writing a blog. In this video I share my glee about seeing these new blogs coming to life. I also share some terminology tips about blogging and how being consistent will guide you to success.
Then I start talking about being public.
I am hoping this publishes properly from my iPhone. Nonetheless here is a quick vlog from a parking lot in Prince George.
On my way to Vancouver tomorrow.
Derek K. Miller is an inspiration man. If you do not know who he is, than you should. He passed away at the beginning of May and will be deeply missed by those who knew him and those who followed him, myself included.
I picture Derek as the person I want to be when I grown up. If you read his blog you will learn that not only is Derek an amazing writers, but also a courages person who never gave up. He battled cancer for 4 years and even though he is now gone, I think he won. He had positive a positive attitude from what I read and never gave in.
You can see why I think Derek is more of an inspirational person than myself. That is why I feel it hard to ask for people to vote for me in the Most Inspirational Social Media User category of the Westies. Anyways, please watch the video I made this morning about Derek and Awards.
I’m trying to be humble and not bring to much attention to myself, but that is doesn’t seem to be the case. Yesterday I got featured on the local TV Station’s News Cast at 5pm.
CJDC’s David Bell called me up while I was at work and asked if I wanted to do an interview about being nominated for the award in the West Coast Social Media Awards. I of course said yes, any chance I get I will preach about all the benefits to using Social Media I’ll take, and besides it way help push me into the top three. I have a feeling I want though.
I don’t have cable in my apartment (but I do have Internet now though) so I couldn’t watch the 5pm broadcast, oddly enough though while over at a friends place at 11:30pm I caught the tail end of the late broadcast, right as my segment came on. So I was able to quickly record it with my iPhone. The audio isn’t great so turn up your speakers and listen to me talk about the greatness that is Social Media.
Also vote for me

Maybe I prematurely started yelling out how beautiful and sunny it is here in Fort St. John. As today it seems it is clouding over and there is a potential chance for rain. There’s also a threat of thunder and lightning, oh my.
Has anyone else noticed this trend. It is as if May Long Weekend lives in a black hole and it destine for crappy weather. Don’t get my wrong, I don’t mind the rain and I certainly love a good thunder and lightning show. It just seems that on the weekend that everybody and their brother are itching to get out and go camping, the weather turns. Last weekend here in Fort St John, I was sweating bullets as I was trying to move, now I’m closing my windows.
