I Need Your Help!

I need your help. Seriously. I recently wrote a Christmas letter for my family and it seemed like everyone was overwhelmed with not only reading about our year but that I wrote it and how well I wrote it. My aunt who happens to be a professor at the U of T said that I apparently write better than some of her 3rd year University Students. Although In this letter I took my time and continuously changed and reworded myself in hopes of making it better and better, my blog post on the other hand are most of the time the exact opposite. Half the time I don’t reread them and just finish them as quick as possible and publish them.

This is where I need your help, I need a challenge. Lately my posts are some what dull.  I can’t seem to find that one thing to write about. I do release a post per day most of the time but they are quick things I come up with just so I am continuously writing. I want you the reader to post up in my comments, topics which you want me to write about. Anything, and I mean anything, I don’t mind. Once I get a batch of topics I will try to schedule them so that you have an idea of when I’m going to publish them. So please send in those topics you have on your mind, the weather, a problem you have, a current news event, whatever you want.

From the Phone

Once again I’m posting fromy my phone’ only this time it is threw the mobile browser on the phone. I’m currently only able to do it this way but finding a wifi networkor having the phone plugged in to a computer hooked to the internet. Making it piontless. Tomorrow although Christmas eve I hope to get to Roy’s again to get my data plan set up enabling me to send and recieve e-mails as well as using the internet. For my more lengthy posts I would continue to write from a real computer. The phone is only good for short posts on the go.

Poll Page

I have made a Poll Page. I want to get more on this site for the readers to do so polling it is. Polls will change every Sunday-ish depending when I’m up. You may wonder why I didn’t just put it on the sidebar and heres why. The sidebar is getting cluttered… to me anyways. I don’t want people to have to scroll down the page to find it, thorw posts they have already read. Doesn’t make sense, so until I find a new theme I like with 2 sidebars I made it, its own page. Back that thang on up!

Had a bit of a scare here night, nothing serious. Just my own stupidity on this site. WordPress just released finally, 2.7 so I had installed a plug-in that was suppose to update the site automatically needless to say it didn’t work and the site crashed temparaily. In hopes that I could get it back up I manually downloaded 2.7 and opened up the wp-config.php file set the DB name, usename and password and uploaded the files onto my server. I slowly opened up firefax again the typed in w w w . t h e b u s h m a n . c a  and luckily it was up again and everything was working fine, just had to update the database and the admin is working.

Back to normal life.

Blogging for a Year

I was looking back on my blogs today. I have had many different ones over the last year. One off of ykoffroad.ca, off imattiavak.com, the talk one and now it will stay at www.thebushman.ca. There is only one place where all the blog post of all those blogs are kept, it is on Facebook in my Notes. I have always imported them there. Check them out and add me as a friend if you can’t access them. That is where I was reading the old posts and I saw that my first blog post was on October 30, 2007 and this is what it said. “I have to start this. Maybe if I write here I wont annoy the people around me any more with my constant anger and complaining. We will see.” Its funny. I guess at the time I felt like I had a lot to complain about and didn’t want to kill the mood of others by drooning them with my sorrows so I took up blogging. I believe and hope that my blogs are more than that now a days. ……… I just sat here for a second trying to think about what I complain about anymore and I think that only thing is the Yellowknife roads but that is only because I take pride in my truck and hate seeing it get beaten up while going 20km/h. I like to write about life, what inspires me, my dreams, where I want to go and where I have been, my truck and toys, my work and the people in my life. I hope to expand my blog this winter into more outdoor life. Whether it is survival or just how I enjoy it. With all these topics I should be able to produce a blog once a day if not ever other day. Heres to one Year!
