BIlly Crystal is back!

Personally I like the past generations funny guys. Guys like Robin Williams, Billy Crystal, Bill Murray and Steve Martin. Some of the guys today I find just stupid. Like Jack Black or Will Ferrell. They annoy me.

That is why I’m stoked that good all Billy Crystal will be hosting the 84th Academy Awards®. He is a lengend and has hosted them so many times before. I will say though I did enjoy when Hugh Jackman hosted, he done good too.

Are you a fan of these old comedians, or do you think they should just retire?

Dubstep Juggling like a Pro

This guy has talent, how it is useful in life, I don’t know. It is cool nonetheless.

I wore Plaid before you all!

Okay this is going to far. This is abuse towards a clothing line meant for the working force. For many years now, and I’m talking 6 years, I have worn plaid jackets. Not because it is stylish or cool or because the every good-looking Cam Gigandet wears them, because they were practical.

I would wear plaid while out in the bush; walking though the woods breaking trail out to a cabin. While cutting wood to heat my parents home was also an occasion for plaid. The photo in the header of this blog was while I was walking around down by the Peace River.

I will admit I was not the first to wear plaid, that’ll go to generations before me, but I do think I wore it for its intended purpose. Sure there were probably times when I wore it too often, but I think I have boundaries now and know when it is proper and when isn’t.

Stop me if I am wrong, but we need to bring a stop to this violence… Who is with me. If this madness doesn’t stop I will be rallying all those who are with me and making a stand. So lumberjacks, trappers, hunters, tow-truck drivers and woodsmen, I will be calling on you.

Project Yellowknifer by Pat Kane

Project Yellowknifer

I’m not sure if Pat is still doing this project, but when he does the gala I would love to be there.

Pat is the Photo Editor of UpHere Mag and will be the next guest my podcast. I have already talked with him and it went great, I can’t wait to share it.

I found this blog post of his after I had talked with him and realized that we actually share similar interests. It seems we both love capturing people and telling their stories. While Pat maybe better at it than I, I still like to share the stories of the people I come across.

This project of his especially interests me as it is on the people of Yellowknife, my hometown. Head to his blog at the link above to watch the video.

Oh yes and watch for the podcast with my talk with Pat Kane coming soon.

So what if Zuckerberg killed a Bison

I think the coverage of this is a little ridiculous. I love the face that Mark is doing this, he is learning about where his food is coming from, how to prepare it and how to be healthier and wiser about what he eats.

The problem is that most of North America does realize that people hunt for their food all the time. WELL COME TO RURAL CANADA PEOPLE!!!! I grew up out hunting for Caribou as it was a lot cheaper to get than beef, same with Moose. Here in the Peace Region of Western Canada, elk, deer, moose are all very common to hunt for food.

It isn’t that we are uncivilized, it that we have an opportunity and we take it. Spending the money on a tag and one, two or three weekends to get a moose that will provide a family for many months is about the smartest things a person can do in my mind. PLUS IT IS ALL NATURAL! Leave Zuck along.

Disney Pixar’s BRAVE Trailer

I was wondering the other day after the theatrical release of Cars 2 if Pixar was moving away from their warm hearted, meaningful movies to the money makers. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure Cars 2 is great, but it seems a little to much like riding a franchise wave to me. That and Pirates of the Caribbean 4, but that isn’t Pixar.

Released yesterday was a short trailer for Pixar’s next film “Brave”. It doesn’t show us much. Kevin McKidd, of Grey’s fame, does a voice over for it, as a lone person rides a horse through a forest in search for something. The final scene of the trailer then shows us this young girl, who was the rider, taking aim with her bow at a bear.

I’m not even sure what the storyline will be for this movie, but it does look good.

Thoughts? Anyone else excited?
