What are your thoughts on the new Apple device?

You all know I get some new Podcasting/Audio equipment last week, well I have been trying to set it up and get it going properly. It hasn’t been working as well as I hoped. I seem to be having issues with getting the mic loud enough to record my voice with out taking in all the noise around me.

I think some of the problem is how I am recording it to the computer, I’m using a usb device that came with the mixer. I may just try a direct line in and out and see how that goes.

Anyone with any expertise out there want to offer some advice? It would be much appreciated.

I started reading @GaryVee‘s Crush It book and am all fired up because of it. If you don’t know, Gary is a very energetic in your face type person. He has a passion for Wine and Business Development and have built up the Wine Library network from scratch. I would recommend this book to anyone.

Anyways it got me thinking about what I am passionate about, I know sound dumb. You should have to think about your passion, but I do. I have a very strong passion for Social Media, it is practically my life, but I don’t see any real opportunities in that industry directly. Instead I’m going to try and twist it around to work for me, I mean go backwards with the whole thing. I’m going to try and taken on the North with Social Media. Teaching it where needed, screaming it from mountain tops… oh wait we don’t have those, but I think you get the idea. Social Media is a big part of our lives, whether we want to acknowledge it or not and I am going to share it with anyone who wants to listen.

I am at this moment, very motivated and I’m sure you can tell. I’m not even sure I know how to go about this but it is something I can see that needs someone to do. Make sure you keep listening to follow my journey.

I recently bought some Audio Equipment for a studio I am building. I bought it from a podcaster I look up to, he created GSPN.

I’m very excited and all over the place, even though I may not seem it. I also talk about my A.D.D towards all this “stuff” I’m trying to do.

When I blanked I wanted to continue with the show, so I started talking about something I want to build in 2010. The With Media Network, a network of podcastes. I share a couple ideas I have so far and hope I can be successful in this adventure. In the back of my head, a very faint dream, would be to make blogging and podcasting my full time job. I know it would be a long shot, but it is something I really want to do and I think the north would like it.

What are your thoughts? I want to know!

I was recently talking to a friend about how a newspaper viewed one of my blogs. I have mixed feels on the mater. I can see why they may think I am a threat but I can also see that, that is not possible. I do not report news, they do. I only feature local things. Things such as events, businesses, people, etc. I realize they do this as well but I just think we are still two different mediums.
