I show a little prep for the Social Marketing Workshop I will presenting at. And I shave my neck beard.
Social Marketing Prep
This is a short video on some of the Social Marketing Workshop prep I have been doing. The first minute of the video is a sneak peak of some of the presentations I will be giving. The second half, I go wild and shave my neck beard.
I know what you are thinking. I am a wild man.
Next Weekend
I keep sending article to Instapaper with the intentions of reading them later. That is after all the idea of the website. I keep thinking, well next weekend I will sit down and read them.
I send a lot of blog post ideas there, so I can come back to them. I have this idea that I will be in the mind from when I am done what ever it is I am doing. You know, next weekend when I don’t have this to deal with.
Well that so called weekend never seems to come. I suppose this may be a good thing, I’m always busy and never bored, but a lot of these things I am putting aside are ideas that I really want to explore and see them go further.
I guess one mans brain can only go so far before it hits it capacity.
I’m hoping while I’m back up in Yellowknife for a couple weeks before Christmas I will be able to get some of these ideas laid out. Until then I will continue to store them in my virtual memory.
Dokie Wind Project
Yesterday Andrew and I went down the highway towards Chetwynd, BC. We went to the Dokie Wind Project. It is a Wind Farm on top of a mountain ridge, which is being funded by GE and Plutonic Power.
We were there to get some video footage and still photos. It was a really neat experience to see these large turbines, some even spinning. We are going to climb up one, well Andrew ways, but because we didn’t have the proper footwear we decided not too.
I guess it should have been expected, but it was wind as heck up on the ridge. The temperature was only -2 but because of the wind, my once frost bitten ears were flaring up within 10 minutes.
Thankfully we had a warm truck to jump back into.

Slow Week Changes to Dokie
THis past week has been slow at work. I have been working on preparing a Full Day Social Media Workshop. I have to admit this has added a little pressure on me. I will be, for the first time, going to have to prove myself to the folks of Fort St John. Everyone has faith in me, but I am always going to lack a little confidence, and will always be a little nervous.
I have given a couple other presentation, but this time it is slightly different. Instead of doing just one, I will be doing a couple in one day. So I have been working on creating these 40 minute presentations.
I have found it a challenge to get my thoughts and knowledge in order to present them. What I am realizing is that as I work on one presentation I think of something that needs to go in another. Of course then I get distracted with the other one, and it become a circle.
Now the presentations are almost done and I will finalize them this weekend. But tomorrow is going to be a change of pace. Actually it is going to be the opposite from what I have been doing. I will be heading out to the Dokie Wind Project with Andrew to take some photos and video. Should be a lot of fun, especially if I end up a tower.
