Ken and I started to put the roofing of the shed on this morning around 10am and we were finished by 2:30 which was really good. We were able to do one side in the morning and the other side after a healthy left over’s lunch. On the first side Ken was up on the roof screwing in the sheets of tin, 28 screws per sheet, while I passed the sheets up to him and lined them up and on we went. We were all a little tired and had lost all ambition so with one more sheet left to do on the first side we went in for lunch. After lunch we switched places. I went up on the roof and finished the first side and moved over to the second side. Ken started passing me the sheets and I got into a rhythm screwing four bolts at a time and the prosses seem to go very fast. When it was time for the last sheet, I had to somehow stand on sheets that were already bolted down with my feet digging in to the bolts to I could balance to screw the last one in. While I was atempting this my legs started to give, I geuss I had been standing akwardly on it for too long. It was shaking rapidly, so in a mad dash to finish I throw all my weight on to my other leg. Screwed on the last bolt and stumbled down the latter. Ken was pleased that we had finished the extend of the shed construction so we went for super in Dawson and the entire drive there you could tell Ken was pumped by his random shouts of “Yah”. And now after being in the sun and wind all day I’m half asleep sitting on a lazy boy, where I will stay for the rest of the night.
