Frozen Air

Got up this morning and it was a crisp -40 outside and it don’t matter celsius or fahrenheit its still -40. What do you do when the oxygen you breath freezes. Creating a thick ice fog that makes it nearly impossible to see 10 feet in front of you. Everything was hard, frozen of cold. I had to wait 3 hours after plugging in my truck this morning for it to even consider turning over and then finally I nearly got frost bite holding the ignition over waiting for it to start. ALIVE. Oh but the sounds the poor thing made, trecherus. Wining, mouning, gargal, and Roar! But I was off up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down oh everything so cold and frozen. Rubber including, feels like your driving on Rocks, that are deformed. But we will survive.

Here are some picture for you to enjoy:

There on Flickr as well.

Unbelievable Meaning

The other day a friend told me to look up my name on Urban Dictionary and I did. This is what I found:

“A generous, outgoing guy who goes out of his way for his friends. Can be sweet and caring towards people, he has a laid back and calm approach. Truthful, lovely and Sexy. Can be a bit of a stress head at times, can also hold grudges for a long period of time. Nice to get to know, easy to fall in love with.

-The name comes from the Scottish origin. In Scottish The meaning of the name is: Strait. Channel. Narrow. Used as both a surname and first name.
-The name is a baby boy name. The name comes from the Gaelic origin. In Gaelic The meaning of the name is: A place-name referring to the narrows; a wood or a church-Also an Irish origin.”

If you know me you will find this oddly accurate. There are some parts that are not completely true…… but for the most part it is pretty good. I think anyways, opinions?

Embrace it.

Well the cold is still upon us, what a surprise eh! Not for long though it is suppose to be letting up start in a couple day but first we must deal with -40 weather with out any wind chill. I say embrace it, why not we got nothing better to do. This past night which seems to be dragging on because of this headache is my last night of work for about 5 days. In which time I want to get out to the cabin and because no one wants to go with me or can’t come I am contemplating finally going out on my own for the first time. We will see. Its so easy to say, “I’m going to be out there on my own”. I have been put in the situation only for a short time before, being out at a cabin by myself. I didn’t like it one bit, mind you I was much young but a person doesn’t think about everything until they are actually in the situation. I have no problem going out camping in my camper or travelling by myself, but there is just something about going out in the winter out to a cabin by yourself. It might be the complete isolation that get’s a person. There is no one to come if you need help, no highway by to flag someone down. Just you and whatever you got with you. I will have a day or two to think about it and gather things I may need.

32 Batteries

Well I guess I better do a Boxing days wrap up. I was able to get a couple little things that were needed, not just for my enjoyment but necessary for other things as well. At Wal-mart I picked up 32 D-cell batteries. Why you make ask? Why does He need 32 batteries and D-cell for that matter. Well its for the Sirius Radio Boom Box. It takes 8 D-cells at a time and lasts 8 hours on 1 set. So when I’m out at the cabin enjoying life, I will probably be listening to music around the clock. When the batteries are 60% off, why NOT.

I ventured over to Canadian Tire where they had Frying Pans on sale for $16.00 Down from $57.00. That’s a good deal especially considering I was in need of one for the cabin.

Roy’s Audiotronic was somewhere in there too, but I don’t remember because it was so flippin’ busy in there. The funny thing was the Source was completely empty. Roy’s was selling TVs left right and center. I managed to work my way through a group of crazy housewives and soon to be divorced husbands to the computer section and picked up a monitor adapter so that I can use a monitor with my laptop. You may think, but doesn’t he already have one? This is true and this one will be for Scott so he no longer has to borrow mine, he can permanently use my other one now.

The last place we went that I got something was Mark Work Warehouse. I took my time in there and ended up getting frustrated because I couldn’t find a pair of jeans that fit. I must look like a freak, because they don’t make the size I wear. They make clothes for big people and they makes clothes for average people but what about the people stuck in the middle.  I am getting into shape, but this just made me mad. Anyways I did although find a pair of nice shoes that happened to be on safe for $69 from $89 and I they ended up coming to $49, so that was a very successful purchase.

That wraps my Boxing Days Sales up. What did you manage to get your hands on?
